Leeds Beckett University MOTORSPORT
If you are interested in motorsport this is the Leeds Beckett University Club for you.
As well as regular recreational Karting at local indoor track Teamsport, LBMotorsport also competes in the British University Karting Championship, a national series for Universities accross the country. On top of all that the society organises Motorsport related trips throughout the year and get together to watch the Formula 1.

New for this year, we will also be holding a varsity championship with Leeds Uni Motorsport, with an indoor karting race to decide the champions.
So if you think your the next Lewis Hamilton or just want to have a bit of fun in a Kart or Simulator then get involved.

The BUKC is the fastest, most exciting adrenalin fueled student sport in the country!
The Championship in 2017 consists of 2 qualifiers followed by 8 national rounds spread over 6 race days between November 2016 and the end of March 2017.
In addition 3 separate test days are laid on before the regional qualifiers and after Christmas there is one test day to get back in the zone before the remainder of the championship.
The BUKC uses the most powerful arrive-and-drive kart fleet in the world. These 115cc 2-stroke TKM-Extreme engined Birel-chassis karts are capable of accelerating from 5 to 60mph in 4.5s and can achieve top speeds of 70mph.
There is also a 4 round Rookie Championship specifically for teams who don't qualify through to the main championship.
The BUKC is strictly a team based sport for teams of 4 drivers exactly.
Teamsport is Leeds Indoor Karting Arena!
Used by Leeds Beckett University for all it's Karting events the tight a twisty thirteen corner circuit is the 'most innovative' according to Karting Magazine.
Six right hand turns and five left corners make up this action packed little circuit. The track also features a bridge and tunnel to add another element into the mix.
Using Sodi hire Karts, the Teamsport fleet provide high octane fun to the LB Motorsport society.
The venue also has it's own bar and games area, including table tennis and pool which hoasts the LB Motorsport prize giving ceremonies.
